Players

As a character advances through levels several things occur for them.  The gain a Hit point at each new level.  When the cross certain threshold they can learn spells of higher levels.  They also will accrue Advancement Points. 

Every odd level (after level 1) characters would earned an Advancement Point.  These points could be spent on buying new spells or skills, but they could also be used to purchase abilities the character would otherwise not be able to obtain.

What Advance Points can purchase:

1 A Skill point
1 Up your max Skill restriction
1 A new Spell in the sphere(s) of your class
1 Learn a limited use of a 1st or 2nd lvl spell available to your class.  You can cast this spell up to 3 times per adv. (this spell is not upgradable or downgradable but it does not count as one of your spells per period)
2 Learn a limited use of a 1st or 2nd lvl spell not available to your class except Divination.  You can cast this spell up to 3 times per adv. (this spell is not upgradable or downgradable but it does not count as one of your spells per period)
2 Learn a limited use of the Augury spell.  You can cast this spell up to 4 times per adv.
2 1 more Hit point
2 Learn a limited use of a 3rd or 4th lvl spell available to your class.  You can cast this spell up to 3 times per adv. (this spell is not upgradable or downgradable but it does not count as one of your spells per period)
3 Able to use 1 more level of weapon & armor (ie. Mage could use blue)
3 Learn a limited use of a 3rd or 4th lvl spell not available to your class except Divination.  You can cast this spell up to 3 times per adv. (this spell is not upgradable or downgradable but it does not count as one of your spells per period)
3 Learn a limited use of the Portent spell.  You can cast this spell up to 3 times per adv.  (or 4 times if all Auguries.  Does not count as one of your spells per period)
3* (Fighters only, Available at Level 13)  Gain an a third Weapon Strike
3* (Rogues only, Available at Level 13) Learn a limited use of two different 1st - 3rd lvl spells from the Information, Metaphysical, Battle or Healing spheres.  You can cast each of these spells up to 3 times per adv. (these spells are not upgradable or downgradable but does not count towards your spell use per period)
3* (Druids only, Available at Level 13) While in woods can cast any of the 1st -4th level spells on the Melee Spell chain (Battle Cry, Rage, Duel or Shackle).  Only three duels may be fought per encounter. This does not count as one of their spells or one of their two additional abilities.
3* (Templars only, Available at Level 13) All Prayers gain one level (not one per point).  Deity max level caps are raised by 1 level.
3* (Crafters only, Available at Level 13) Instead of being able to to just create 10 levels worth of items, can create 10 + ½ # of character levels of items.
3* (Scholars only, Available at Level 13)  Can cast another spell per period
3* (Diviners only, Available at Level 13) Instead of getting 10 + ½ # of character levels of divs per adv, get 10 + # of levels.
3* (Mages only, Available at Level 13) Non-Conjurers gain Conjurer ability (Once per day, may trade one normal spell for a spell not currently known, as long as the spell is in one of the spheres they know) Conjurers may trade up to three spells per day.
4* Gain the special ability of another class.  You must be able to met the requirements for that ability (ie: a scholar could not take the Destroyer special ability because he/she cannot cast Battle magic)  You do not gain the extra skill points.
4 Know a spell outside your normal class spheres excluding Divination
4 Learn a limited use of the Omen spell.  You can cast this spell up to 2 times per adv. (or 4 times if all Auguries or 3 times if all Portents.  Does not count as one of your spells per period)
5 Learn a limited use of the Vision spell.  You can cast this spell up to1 time per adv. (or 4 times if all Auguries, 3 times if all Portents or 2 times if both are Omens.  Does not count as one of your spells per period)
5 Can cast another spell per period
5 Gain access to all spells in another sphere.  (Divination is limited to casting # of levels of Divs = Player level per Adv.)

If you wanted upgrade an advancement it would cost you 1 pt plus the difference between the new advancement and the old.
