I'm thinking a birdbath is the cheapest way to do this (granted there are some really cool expensive bird-baths too. Link). The players can get the stone work from the Dwarves.
Vine has a sacred place that is under threat. The goblins have tamed themselves a troll. Trolls in general are ok by Vine, they are simply predators. This troll has been taught to revel in destruction by the goblins who feed it anything they find (including each other at times) and amuse it. The players must kill the goblins and their troll before the band tears apart his holy ground. If they do he will give them the cup of life. This two sided goblet represents the balance of life and death.
